Maryna Pylypenko quartet

Ethno-jazz concert program of Ukrainian songs in a jazz arrangement.

About project

The concert program "Songs of the Motherland" represents a unique cultural bridge between Ukrainian tradition and contemporary Lithuanian jazz. This symbolic connection between Ukrainian and Lithuanian musicians, as well as the fusion of two genres—folk and jazz—forms the core of the event. The creative nucleus of the program consists of Ukrainian singer Marina Pilipenko and the virtuoso Lithuanian pianist and arranger Andrej Polevikov. Their innovative interpretation of folk music in a jazz style reveals new dimensions of national music, blending modern harmonies with deep cultural roots.
